The Cristo Rey Apostolic Movement is made up of lay people, men and women from 10 years of age, from different nationalities, speakers of different languages and inserted in the world in various professions and occupations. All the members of the Movement wish to recognize, accept and proclaim Jesus Christ as King and Lord of their own lives, of the Universe and of History.
IDENTITY
Discover and give meaning to life. Living is: a possibility of being “me”, of loving and responding gratefully to God's Plan.
Know and love Christ as King. The Christian faith is a deep experience and a personal adherence to Christ, King and Lord of my life.
Live in an attitude of adoration to God in all his presences. Through an attitude of adoration, the Christian enters into relationship with the transcendent God and with the mystery of the Fulfillment and Lordship of Christ.
Welcome and live the values of the Kingdom according to the spirituality of José Gras. Accept Christ as King, assuming and internalizing the lifestyle of his Kingdom as the Venerable José Gras did.
Live the communal and celebratory sense of faith. The Christian faith must be lived and celebrated within the community and it must be this that accompanies its growth.
Feeling an active member of the Church with a strong apostolic dynamism. To be a Christian is to feel an active member of the local and universal Church.
To be leaven in the midst of the world, contributing from within to the construction of a new world according to the values of the Kingdom. Adherence to Christ communicates to the Christian an apostolic dynamism that leads him to commit himself to transforming the world into the Kingdom of Christ.
Like Mary, proclaim with your life: Christ reigns. Love for Mary as Mother and model of faith drives us to live and proclaim the Reign of Christ.
Legally, MAR is a private Association of the faithful, approved by the Archbishop of Granada (Spain), D. Javier Martínez Fernández, and with a presence in other dioceses around the world.

ORIGINS
The Cristo Rey Apostolic Movement was born in 1992 from the Institute of the Daughters of Christ the King with the desire to share with the lay faithful the spiritual richness of its founder, Venerable José Gras y Granollers, who had already founded the Academy and Court of Christ in 1866. religious and literary association from which the Institute sprang up in 1876 and which lasted until the 1960s.
